Wild Gresham

Biologist Katie Holzer, photographer Caz Zyvatkauskas, and JCWC would like to invite you to our Wild Gresham event! Come and see all the ways Gresham wildlife shows itself along the creek on Saturday, March 16th from 11am-12pm at the Gresham City Library! You’ll see wildlife photos and videos taken in Gresham, along with wildlife trivia and research. Because all photos presented were taken in the watershed, you won’t just be looking at photos of a species. You’ll actually be seeing photos of individual animals that you might see around Gresham. Wow! This is the third annual Wild Gresham event, but if you’ve come before, don’t worry- All photos and content will be new this year!

Wild Gresham is a family friendly event, full of environmental educational fun! We will have a variety of hands-on interactive activities and displays before and after the presentation. Have you ever wanted to see a mass of amphibian egg sacs, or animal bones? We’ll have some for you to check out up close! Snacks and drinks will be provided, and if you can’t make it to the full presentation, it’s ok to drop by for just part of it!

If you’ve ever hit like on a wildlife photo from the JCWC Facebook page, then you’ve definitely seen some of Caz’s work. Caz lives along Johnson Creek, and captures amazing wildlife shots in her backyard. Katie is a biologist for the City of Gresham and also the City of Gresham Jurisdictional representative on the JCWC board. We’re so thankful for both their contributions to the creek and many communities (wildlife and otherwise) nearby!

No need to RSVP- come as you are. Email info@jcwc.org, or call (503) 652-7477 with any questions. We look forward to seeing you!

All photographs in this article were taken in the Johnson Creek Watershed by Caz Zyvatkauskas.
