School Field Trips in the Watershed

Did you know that Johnson Creek Watershed Council provides field trip programs for schools in our watershed? Educational learning opportunities are free and include topics such as watershed health, plant and animal awareness, surveys in the watershed, and more. With the help of partners from Portland Parks & Recreation, City of Gresham, City of Milwaukie, Clackamas Water Environmental Services, and Happy Valley Parks & Recreation students also participate in stewardship activities, including planting native plants, removing unwanted plant species, and mulching.

We are currently expanding field trip outreach in our upper watershed. If you are an educator or know a school in Gresham interested in a field trip, please contact sara@jcwc.org to learn more about our programs. Educators within the Johnson Creek Watershed interested in finding out more information visit JCWC Education page and fill out a field trip form.
