Field notes:
I entered Veteran’s Creek at the Mount Scott Blvd entrance and picked up trash in various spots around the area. I took apart the remnants of a lean-to and cleaned up the garbage left there by the last illegal camper. I also spotted another illegal campsite on the South side of Veteran’s Creek at the West end of the Natural Area which I reported to the Park Rangers. On a positive note the Trillium is in full bloom in the woods and I saw 2 ducks in the creek, which swam down stream and quickly out of sight.
