Great fall day. Beavers have adapted to low water in the west dam by raising water level in the next dam by 4 inches. Dam 3 also is being reinforced and deepened. Coyotes, racoons, deer appreciating the new dry area. Beggars ticks are now blooming, while the snowberry fruits and the elderberry goes into sinescence. I found some clematis run into trees in the eastern pond so I pulled it out; will need treatment.
I watched a noble buck sneak through the woods, and later a hawk swooped in the trees, watching ducklings, eagerly. Busy place, as always.
