Are you ready to be a part of an 11 year tradition?
Want to GIVE BACK before the summer is over?
Come hang out with us at the…
11th Annual Johnson Creek Clean-Up
Saturday, August 25
8:30am-12pm – Clean-Up
12pm-2pm – BBQ and Awards
Free T-shirts for the first 200 to arrive!
The Johnson Creek Clean-Up is our biggest event of the summer-where we all get to hop in the creek and remove harmful and unsightly debris. We are so delighted to have the chance to get together to make a ton of a difference (well…it’s often closer to 5 TONS OF A DIFFERENCE)!!!
Our partnership with the Overland Park Coalition makes this event possible-and this neighborhood group works for months to acquire donations for the BBQ.
WE WANT YOU TO JOIN US–REGISTER HERE — this will help us get enough food for the BBQ!
And, this year we did our first t-shirt art contest. The winner is in-Cassidy Marotta sent in this cool graphic-and we will be printing it on t shirts for the first 200 to arrive. Check out her work HERE.
We also have lots of COOL TEAMS that will be joining us this year–so far registered we’ve got:
All Saints Episcopal Church, Springwater Community, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Xylem Watermark, PDX Ducks Philanthropy, Clackamas Rotary Club, Gresham Rotary Club, River Runners, Abbott and Associates, Precision Castparts, New Avenues for Youth, the Oregon Zoo ECO Team, and the Timbers Army.
We would like to thank Water Environment Services, North Clackamas Parks and Recreation, Portland Parks and Recreation, SOLVE, Sunset Garbage Collection, Metro, Hoodview Disposal and Recycling, the City of Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services, and the Overland Park Coalition for their partnership and support. Also a big thanks to the Mintkeski Family Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation. Thanks for working with us to create a brighter future for Johnson Creek!
