Made my way back to the area I’ve been working on. I walked very carefully after spotting the pretty little lady in the photo and wondered if there might be a nest nearby but didn’t see one. I brought loppers this time to get to the base of thick blackberry stalks and clematis vines. Continued to remove both from a red flowering currant. Eventually plan to bring a shovel to dig out the roots of each. One day I might even feel like I’ve made progress in my small space in this big wilderness.
