Bird Walk with Jeff Marks

Join us at Errol Heights City Park for a bird walk with ornithologist Jeff Marks. Explore habitats designed for a variety of terrestrial and aquatic birds as we walk around the beaver created pond. Jeff has graduate degrees in Wildlife Biology (breeding ecology of Long-eared Owls) and Zoology (nonbreeding ecology of Bristle-thighed Curlews). He is the senior author of Birds of Montana in addition to being the Executive Director of the Montana Bird Advocacy.
What: Bird Walk at Errol Heights Park with Jeff Marks
When: Saturday, March 15th, from 7:30 am – 8:30am
Where: Errol Heights City Park Upper Area – 5202 SE Tenino Ct, Portland
What to bring: Bring a filled water bottle and binoculars.
What to wear: Dress for the weather! Wear comfortable shoes that are suitable for walking on
uneven terrain.
We will provide: Binoculars. You are welcome to bring your own.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an attentive adult. This event is recommended for children ages 12 and up.
Health and Safety: We will follow current Oregon Health Authority guidelines. Masks are not required, but encouraged in indoor spaces where social distancing is not possible. Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness or have had recent contact with someone exhibiting symptoms of any illness.
Accessibility: This event may require standing for long periods, walking over uneven ground, going up or down steep slopes.
