Grab a pint and explore the wonderful world of Powell Butte’s bird population with us! Tom Virzi, PhD., Executive Director of Conservation InSight, will discuss the ongoing grassland bird surveys taking place on Powell Butte, how the surveys have informed management of the park, and the future of the program!
This event is free to attend, but please be prepared to purchase a drink and/or food to support Double Mountain Brewing. Thank you DMB for hosting us!!

What: Powell Butte Bird Surveys Pub Talk
When: Tuesday, March 14th, 5:30pm-7:30pm. The talk will take place from 6pm-7pm, but we recommend arriving early to grab a spot to sit and order food and drinks!
Where: Double Mountain Brewing, 4336 SE Woodstock Blvd, Portland, OR 97206.
What to bring: Yourself! And some money to spend on yummy food and drinks!
What we provide: We can provide bus fare to and from the event. Please contact info@jcwc.org to arrange bus fare.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an attentive adult. This is an all ages event!
Health and Safety: We will follow current Oregon Health Authority guidelines. Masks are not required, but encouraged in indoor spaces where social distancing is not possible. Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness or have had recent contact with someone exhibiting symptoms of any illness.
Accessibility: This event may require sitting or standing for long periods of time. Bathrooms will be available at this event.

By Car: 4336 SE Woodstock Blvd, Portland, OR 97206. There is street parking available around the taproom.
Transit: Take the #19 or #75 along Woodstock Blvd and exit at Woodstock and 43rd.
