Sara is temporarily covering duties for Riparian Program Manager during Noah’s parental leave through early March. Having grown up in Portland, Sara has had the pleasure of exploring local watersheds, including picking blackberries as a kid along Johnson Creek (before Noah got ahold of the riparian areas!) Many of these experiences were as a staff member through outdoor science education opportunities like Outdoor School. These experiences lead Sara to deepen her science background through a Masters in Environmental Management at PSU and to conducting surveys of completed restoration projects in the Johnson Creek Watershed in 2011-12. Most recently, she has served as Program Director at the Sandy River Watershed Council managing restoration, stormwater, and community engagement programs. She is very pleased to be coming full circle and to the Johnson Creek community again.
